How do I prepare my home for my photo appointment?
For best results minimize the number of furnishings and décor. Take time to make your house look it’s best BEFORE your photography appointment. Put everything in order inside and out, turn inside lights on and move vehicles out of the driveway. Download our guide to preparing for photography.
What is twilight photography?
Twilight photography sessions take place during the hour of sunset, depending on local conditions and weather. All the interior lights are turned on which creates an ambient glow from within. Twilight provides the most dramatic natural light and produces beautiful, artistic exterior images. Fees apply since twilight sessions occur outside of normal business hours. See a sample.
What’s the difference between a video reel and a walk-thru video?
Video Reels is a full motion video that captures the key features of a location. It is normally
composed in a vertical format, but horizontal can also be requested. Our walk-thru video is a
full-motion video that is a comprehensive coverage of a property. The raw footage is
custom-edited and combined with appropriate music to give viewers a
cinematic experience. See sample.
What is 3D-360 Interactive tour?
3D-360 Interactive tours are a self-guided interactive presentation of your listing using Matterport® technology. Viewers can see rooms from various perspectives and virtually move about as if they were actually in the home. 360° sessions are booked separately, and the price is based on square footage and the area to be covered.
Can you photograph neighborhood scenes and amenities?
Yes! Additional fees apply for off-site photos.

If a session is booked and we travel to the property and are locked out or the property is not ready, there will be a minimum $120 charge plus any taxes or travel fees incurred.
Is there a charge or fee for a late cancellation or postponement?
Maybe. Fees may apply if the change occurs within a four-hour window of your session, depending on the situation. If the photographer is in-route to the location, you will be charged the full session fee. Otherwise, the late change is subject to a $120 fee in many cases.

Are rush services available?
Yes, 24-hour rush guaranteed delivery is available for an additional $50 fee.
How do I cancel or reschedule a session?
Save your appointment confirmation email. Click the link that says “Reschedule your Appointment Online.” You can also login to your Snapsold account and reschedule.
What is your bad weather policy?
Our inclement-weather policy: Postponement is at your discretion. The quality of exterior photos in light rain and low wind is generally good. Heavy rain, wind or snow not only presents a danger to anyone outside, the quality of exterior photos or video also suffers. If there is thunder or lightning near the location, the Snapsold photographer can choose to shoot exterior shots or remain inside. Late postponement and rescheduling for bad weather will not result in charges or fees if we are told before we travel to the location.
What if bad weather occurs after the photo session has started?
If we must return to the location to reshoot any photos, there will be a charge of no less than $120 plus taxes and fees. Revisit sessions allow only for 10 images, so please decide carefully when considering an inclement weather postponement.
After the photo session, when will my media deliver?
Photos are delivered the next day after the photo session. Many jobs deliver the next morning, but some deliver in the afternoon. Delivery times vary, but we try to deliver within 24-30 hours after the photo session. You will receive an email and text notification when your photos are ready. Video normally takes 2 days to edit and deliver. 3D-360 images deliver 1-2 days after the session.
If my photo session is done on Friday, when will I receive my images?
Photos done on Friday sessions deliver on Saturday. Images from Saturday sessions deliver the following Monday.
Can you upload my images directly to MLS?
No
How will I receive the images?
You will receive a text and an email with clear instructions saying the photos or other media is ready. You can then make a payment and download your images.

What are the two different licensing usage rights?
We offer two types of usage rights:

After your property goes off the market, you may purchase long-term rights for an additional fee. Contact us for details.
-
LONG-TERM USAGE FOR MARKETING OR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES. There is a higher fee for a more extensive long-term use of the images such as business marketing or short-term rentals. See more details about licensing and usage here.

AERIAL APPOINTMENTS
Why should I hire a certified and licensed drone pilot?
Our drone pilots have FAA Part 107 certification to fly drones for residential and commercial applications. If you hire a drone operator who is unlicensed by the FAA, you run the risk of a large fine, especially if you fly in a no-fly zone. We check the air space before each flight to ensure that there are no restrictions in your listing area. Our pilots also can request special exemptions to fly in some areas where other drone pilots cannot fly.

How do I prepare for an appointment for drone photos or video?
Place cars in garage or away from the immediate area of the house. Put garbage cans away and pick up yard toys or loose items like hoses. Straighten up yard furniture so that it looks neat from the air.
What happens if it is too windy on the day of the drone appointment?
If it is too windy to fly a drone on the day of your appointment, the appointment will need to be rescheduled.
What’s the difference between drone photos and Photomast® elevated photos?
Drones are used by a Snapsold pilot who is certified and insured. They can capture footage from hundreds of feet above a property, providing a spectacular perspective that is unavailable from ground level. Our elevated photos are done with a Photomast that reaches up to 33 feet. This equipment is useful under trees where drones are difficult to fly. The Photomast images provide a less expensive option compared to drone photography.
